I had food catered here for an office lunch several times. They were so good. So sad that they have now closed. For those who complains about their food being bland or need more salt are the reason why high blood pressure is so prevalent in America. Their food was fresh and sauces were a good pairing to the dishes. And the lemonade and green juice were refreshing. Not everything needs to be salt laden. I'll miss you Viva Chicken! Please come back...
The service was quick and the place was rather full when we showed up. I ordered a quarter chicken and the corn salad plus the chicken soup. All items were rather tasty. I think it was just over thirty dollars for the three of us. I also ordered the green lemonade . The lemonade had rosemary, and basil sounds weird yet it was rather refreshing. Actually went back for a refill. I will definitely go back!
This place is overall pretty good. The seating area is very casual, kind of like you would see at a chipotle. The chicken was well marinated, and the skin was delish. I also tried to plantains (which are the sweeter, "ripe" type) and the corn salad. The corn salad was the best of all three. I would definitely return to try other options in the future.
First time hearing about this spot. It's located in a plaza so parking is easy. Vibe was cool too. The person who took my order was very professional & friendly. I ordered his recommendation as my meal. I had quarter chicken, green beans, & fried rice. The chicken!? Fire. Green beans? Fire. Fried rice was okay. The mild sauce was pretty good too. I'd definitely eat it again.
Diving into the flavors at Viva Chicken was a delightful culinary journey! Each bite seemed to have its own story to tell. The Warm Huancaina Queso was a standout, especially when paired with the thick-cut Yucca fries - a perfect combination of flavors. The Rotisserie Chicken Cheesesteak was a real game-changer, with the caramelized onions, peppers, and that unforgettable Huancaina Queso making it an absolute treat. And the Autumn Apple Salad? Such a refreshing mix of greens, butternut squash, fall apples, feta, almonds, and avocado. I couldn't resist adding Rotisserie Chicken for that extra kick! Excellent, fast service and calm atmosphere with striking art (mural)
I order delivery so this will be based solely on the food. I had the Inca Burrito and green beans. The green beans were well seasoned and pretty good, the burrito was decent as well, the chicken was a bit dry but definitely seemed like a healthy option. I've also had the bowl previously and soup, both of which the chicken was kinda dry as well and the soup didn't have much flavor. Overall the food is just okay to me.
Great food and lots of variety. It was so clean inside and the staff friendly and helped me answer my food sensitivity questions. I can't have soy and my choices were limited since they even cooked their rotisserie chicken with soy sauce. I got the cilantro rice bowl, so good. The sauces are all soy-free and the yellow sauce was great on the bowl.
We really enjoyed trying this place when it first opened up. We tried one of their unique fries bowls that they only offer seasonally. I can't wait until it's back on the menu and we just love their chicken. It's succulent and loaded with flavor. It's exactly how you want your rotisserie chicken to be. The service here is always good. Their family meals easily feed our family of 5 and our kids enjoy their chicken. The kids get excited when we tell them we're headed here for dinner. You can't go wrong with a meal here
Four stars, up from 3.5 because of the staff; everybody was helpful, friendly, and seemingly happy to be working for Viva. What nice folks! So, my friend chose some kind of 'bowl.' Her instructions were so elaborate, she lost me at "cilantro rice." There was shredded chicken, a little avocado -- but my impression was a disproportionate amount of rice. My order was straightforward: half a chicken. (For a few dollars more than a quarter chicken, I figured I'd bring home leftovers. I'm smart that way!) Entrees come with two small sides. The menu listed fries, plantains, yucca and rice. All starches. "You don't have a side salad?" I asked. "Yes," the cashier replied. "It's just not on the board." Aha! The chicken is pretty good. I'm not sure what's Peruvian about it, which is what piqued my interest in the first place. You have a choice of dipping sauces -- try one or all three -- which I assume are South American. Finished eating, my friend and I sat talking. The lunch crowd was gone and the restaurant emptied out. The manager approached us. "Please have a churro on the house," he said. Why, thank you! Filled with a bit of caramel, the churros are a nice, sugary treat. Because of the restaurant's popularity, Viva is opening a branch in Alpharetta. Their formula works: fresh food, reasonably priced and an accommodating staff that works as a team.
Great spot for lunch and dinner. The employees are awesome and it feels like they want to be there. They are super helpful and really know the menu to make suggestions and offer the backgrounds of the dishes. The food is tasty and fresh and comes out quick. They use a gluten free soy sauce in the fried rice and green beans. The signature juices are good too and worth a try. Chicha Morada is a little sweet but has a nice warming effect from the cinnamon and cloves. The herbal limeade has a nice earthy taste from the basil and rosemary. The restaurant itself has a good amount of seating. The decor is nice - I love the lights. And it's clean.
